Is Boston still a baseball town? Or do Tom Brady and the NFL reign supreme in the hearts of Bostonians?
A column in the Boston Globe tackled the question, and on Wednesday night the Sports Tonight crew joined the debate.
"I'm a baseball guy - BBWAA if you pardon the expression," said Shaughnessy. "The Patriots, they're the flavor of the month, they're the hot thing."
Michael Felger thinks Shaughnessy is treating the Patriots like a fad.
"I like what you said, it is a little bit of a fad," continued Shaughnessy. "Bobby Orr and the Bruins owned the 70's, Larry Bird and the Celtics owned the 80's, the Patriots own now. The Red Sox are always there."
