Truck Day is kind of pointless

Last Tuesday was Truck Day, the most boring exciting day of the year. For many Red Sox fans this snooze fest signals the unofficial start of baseball season.

Basically, a bunch of fans head down to Fenway to watch some Red Sox staff members load a truck full of Red Sox equipment and umm.oh wait, that's it. No players are there. Theres nothing but dudes loading a truck full of boxes. Why, just thinking about it makes us.

zzzzzzZZZZZZZzzzz.

Oh, um, where were we? Right, Truck Day! Woo! Is it quite possibly the most fun a person can have outside of watching grass grow or watching your grandpa take a nap.

Pink Hats everywhere look forward to Truck Day as well so they can head down to Fenway, talk about how Josh Beckett is the best second baseman in the MLB and wonder when Manny Ramirez is going to show up to spring training.

We sent our ace reporter Patrice Purrgeron down to Fenway to check out the action. Heres a clip we have from last Tuesday:

Riveting. Look at that one guy wheeling that box up the ramp! Oh. My. Gosh! Most fun weve had since the last funeral we went to. Maybe next year Sleepys should sponsor Truck Day.

What could possibly be more fun that Truck Day!? you ask.

Good question.

Not many things are more fun that watching guys move things into a truck. Quite honestly, the entire Wicked Good Sports Crew LOVES to drive around on a Saturday until we find a house with a moving truck out front and then we just stop and cheer them on.

If youre still wondering what could possibly be more fun than Truck Day, heres a short list we came up with:

Getting hit by Johnny Boychuk.

Getting kicked in your special no-no place.

Receiving a singing telegram from the Black Eyed Peas.

Watching a Pittsburgh Pirates 2010 Highlights DVD.

Getting your spleen cut out.

Competing with Rex Ryan at a buffet.

Hoodie shopping with Bill Belichick.

Listening to Ben Stein narrate an 1840s themed adult film.

Sorry, Sox fans. It is just a truck. ...With boxes.
