Trent Frederic gives rented suite to Blues' Special Hockey team

Trent Frederic is making the best out of a tough situation.

The Boston Bruins' 20-year-old rookie and St. Louis native was set to make his hometown debut against the St. Louis Blues on Saturday afternoon. There was just one small glitch... Frederic was sent down to the Providence Bruins in favor of Peter Cehlarik after the Bruins acquired third-line center Charlie Coyle in a trade.

Frederic had already secured a suite for the contest. But after being sent down, he elected to give his box to the Blues and their Special Hockey organization.

This was a very decent gesture by Frederic. He could easily have kept the suite for his friends and family, but instead, he decided to give it to an organization that may get more enjoyment out of it.

In 11 games this season, Frederic has averaged 9:23 time on ice but has yet to tally a point. He made some noise in his NHL debut when he got into a fight with Winnipeg's Brandon Tanev.
