TORONTO, Ont. - Lee Nguyen put New England up 1-0 in the 2nd minute against Toronto FC on Saturday, and the visitors never looked back. Kelyn Rowe and Teal Bunbury would also find the back of the net for the Revolution, as they embarrassed Toronto FC 3-0, to give them their second win of the year at BMO Field.
Toronto FC came into the match Saturday night feeling the pressure to perform from both the fans and organization. Last week, they squandered a late 2-1 lead after Quincy Amarikwa equalized in the 90th minute for the Fire against his former team.
Toronto FC general manager, Tim Bezbatchenko, did not hide his disappointment with Toronto's recent results when he spoke to media ahead of the match against New England. He told reporters on Friday that “The time is now. That’s the message out to our fans: We mean business now."
