Michael Lombardi is moving on from his role as an assistant to Bill Belichick's coaching staff after two years with the Patriots, ESPN's Mike Reiss reported.
Lombardi, a long-time NFL front-office executive, came to the Patriots after serving as Cleveland Browns general manager in 2013. He was an NFL Network analyst from 2008-2012 and Reiss reported Lombardi could be returning to television.
When Belichick was coach of the Browns (1991-95), Lombardi worked with him as a scout and personnel director for five years.
