Former Patriots wide receiver Reche Caldwell was arrested in Tampa, Fla., on Tuesday for allegedly trying to sell ecstasy, TMZ reported.
Police said Caldwell, 35, who played for the Patriots in 2006 when he caught 61 passes for 760 yards, four touchdowns and had a notable drop of a potential Tom Brady TD pass in the AFC Championship Game loss to the Colts, was arrested at an apartment after trying to sell the drug.
Caldwell was drafted out of the University of Florida in 2002 by the San Diego Chargers. He last played in the NFL with the Washington Redskins in 2007. Earlier this year, Caldwell was arrested for allegedly running an illegal gambling ring.
