There has been a ton of talk about Rob Gronkowski's return to the Patriots practice field.
While Gronk was out of the lineup for the majority of last season, Julian Edelman was Tom Brady's go-to guy, putting together his best season in the NFL.
Now that Gronk is back in the fold, who will be the Patriots go-to guy at the end of the season?
"I'm going to go Edelman," said Chris Price of WEEI. "Right now when you look at Gronkowski, you look at his health record. He's only played in nine of 26 games over the last year-plus. I think you got to go with Edelman until Gronkowski shows he can play a whole 16-game season."
Lou Merloni believes the Patriots tight end is more important to the team.
"If they're going to be a Super Bowl contender it better be Gronk," said Merloni. "I think that he is the difference… I've seen what this offense looks like without Gronk, with Edelman as the go-to guy. It's got to be Gronk."
Michael Holley agreed with Merloni.
"The answer's always Gronk," explained Holley. "He could be out there games one through nine, miss games ten through fifteen and come back for the playoffs. He's still going to be the go-to guy when he comes back. I think that's what they need him to be. Otherwise, it's going to be a problem with the Patriots."
