CINCINNATI -- Danny Amendola is active for the first time since he tore his groin September 8. Amendola went through the paces during warmups prior to the Pats' game against the Bengals, walking the field, sprinting, stretching, and catching passes from backup QB Ryan Mallett.

It is Austin Collie's turn to wait. Signed just Thursday, the veteran receiver won't be making his Patriots debut just yet. If Amendola wasn't good to go, the situation may have been different for Collie.

Running back Stevan Ridley missed practice last week with a thigh bruise and was declared "Out" on Friday. Otherwise, there are no real surprises. Tavon Wilson, who was listed as "Questionable" earlier in the week (hamstring), was downgraded on Saturday. His absence will mostly be felt on New England's special teams.

The full list of Patriots inactives:

RB - Stevan Ridley (Knee)

TE - Rob Gronkowski (Forearm/back)

WR - Matthew Slater (Wrist)

S - Tavon Austin (Hamstring)

WR - Austin Collie (Healthy scratch)

LB - Steve Beauharnais (Healthy scratch)

OL - Chris Barker (Healthy scratch)

The Bengals' list was something of a good news/bad news report. The Good: The banged up secondary will have cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick available again. Linebackers Vontaze Burfict (neck) and James Harrison (knee) are also good to go. The Bad: Not only is fellow cornerback Leon Hall inactive for another week, but defensive end Michael Johnson was ruled out because of a concussion.

Inactive for Cincinnati:

CB - Brandon Ghee (Thigh)

CB - Leon Hall (Hamstring)

G - Mike Pollak (Knee)
