New York Yankees $153-million man Jacoby Ellsbury was benched on Tuesday night's winner take all, one-game Wild Card playoff game against the Houston Astros.
While no one was keen on paying Ellsbury $20 million a year back in 2013, Michael Felger says he'd rather have the declining center fielder's contract on the books than those of Hanley Ramirez and Pablo Sandoval.
"I think the Red Sox obviously got that right," said Felger. "I'd love to give them more credit, but they signed so many other bad contracts that sort of mitigated it."
