The Red Sox pitching staff has been a point of concern for the Red Sox this season.

Steve Buckley and Danny Picard join Sports Tonight to discuss John Lester and Clay Buchholz's recent starts.

Buckley isn't worried about Jon Lester, but he expects more out of Clay Buchholz.

"They've set things up for him, they've babied him." said Buckley, "They've done everything they could to harness his considerable talent, which is there. At this point it's up to him… Buchholz needs to put the big boy pants on and do some big league pitching."

Picard agreed with Buckley, saying Buchholz is a concern right now.

"The velocity is down, that's an issue." said Picard, "If he can't get that velocity up, his secondary stuff doesn't work as well. He's a completely different pitcher. He's not very good when his velocity is down, the way it is right now."
