On Wednesday, Danny Ainge made something out of nothing by using his trade exception to land more assets.
Sean Grande joined Arbella Early Edition to discuss what addition of Zeller and Thornton means to the Celtics rebuild.
"It is remarkable what you can get for a bucket of water when everybody else is running around with their hair on fire," said Grande. "The price of the water goes up. Danny had the exception, it was going to expire, if nothing happens by Saturday, that thing is gone."
Grande says the deal "added to the basket of assets."
While many were expecting the Celtics to make a deal like 2007, Grande points out that those players were different.
"The assets, they're not done cooking," said Grande. "Al Jefferson, Gerald Green, these guys were three years in [the league], we knew what they were."
