BOSTON – As expected, the Celtics have signed rookies Jayson Tatum and Ante Zizic to multi-year contracts.
Tatum, a 6-foot-8 forward from Duke selected with the third overall pick in last month’s NBA draft, will be among the featured players for the Celtics when they begin summer league play on Monday in Salt Lake City.
Zizic, 6-11, drafted by Boston with the No. 23 pick in the 2016 NBA draft, will be looked upon to provide defense and rebounding – two things he did at a fairly high level last season while playing overseas.
