There was no mystery about the lineup for the Bruins as they get ready for the Ottawa Senators in a rare Friday night game at TD Garden. Tuukka Rask and Robin Lehner will be the starting goalies for Boston and Ottawa respectively, and Niklas Svedberg will be Rask’s backup instead of Chad Johnson.
In the fun fact department: the Bruins will attempt to shatter Ottawa’s hopes of taking themselves off an unwanted list of three teams (Philadelphia and Tampa Bay are the others) that have never swept the Black and Gold in a season series.
Ottawa took a 4-2 decision at home over the Bruins in November when they scored four unanswered goals on Boston, and they’ll also be playing them again in their backyard tomorrow night in the second half of the home-and-home series. Daniel Paille returns to the lineup tonight after missing seven games with concussion-like symptoms, and will skate alongside Gregory Campbell and Jordan Caron on the fourth line.
Otherwise the lines and D-pairings look just as they did against the Nashville Predators on Monday night:
