Rob Gronkowski reportedly suffered a concussion on the same play that saw him tear apart his knee.

When Browns defensive back TJ Ward hit Gronkowski's right knee in the third quarter of New England's 27-26 win on Sunday, the big Patriots tight end went head over heels and struck his head on the Gillette Stadium turf.

Pro Football Talk says that Gronk's concussion was "slight," but was obviously significant enough to have been recognized by medical personnel.

Ward said after the game that he was trying to be "safe" when he went low, implying that he was avoiding the kind of dangerous hits to the head that the NFL is trying to eliminate and deems fine-worthy.
