It appears the Patriots want nothing to do with tight end Aaron Hernandez right now.

It has been reported that Hernandez was asked by the Patriots to leave Gillette Stadium Thursday and to stay away from the team and the facility while the murder investigation regarding the death of Odin Lloyd this week, which Hernandez has been reportedly linked to, is still going on.

Hernandez was seen driving to Gillette Stadium Thursday and was followed via helicopter to the venue, he was also seen leaving the facility a short time after.

CSNNE Patriots Insider Tom E. Curran spoke about the current situation on SportsNet Central, and what this means for both Hernandez and the Patriots.

"They are very much aware of the fact that their brand is negatively impacted in a profound way by the presence of Aaron Hernandez in this investigation, and that he has no safe haven in the Patriots right now and they're in the process of distancing themselves," Curran said.
