Remember all those Rajon Rondo trade rumors that popped up pretty much everywhere you looked after the season?

According to Sporting News' Sean Deveney, it was much ado about nothing. A league source told Sporting News that Boston was never serious about trading Rondo, using the word "overblown" to describe the talks between the Celtics and the Pistons.

But while the C's may not be looking to trade Rondo, there are some players on the team they certainly would trade. Kris Humphries and Gerald Wallace, both traded to the Celtics in the deal that sent Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett to Brooklyn, are players that Deveney says the C's will shop. Humphries won't be too hard to trade, as he's in the final year of his deal. But Wallace still has three years, $30 million remaining on his contract. Brandon Bass is another player Boston would trade in the right deal.

The Celtics traded former 2012 first round pick Fab Melo to the Memphis Grizzlies yesterday for Donte Greene in what could amount to be a salary dump. Greene's contract is non-guaranteed for the 2013-14 season.
