As the Celtics look to re-load, Celtics lovers are looking around the NBA at players with whom the C's may re-load.
One name that would seem to top the wish list: Kevin Love. The Timberwolves forward can opt out of his deal with Minnesota after the 2015 season.
Might that mean the T'Wolves would make Love available in a trade before he leaves on his own? Or would he ever be interested in signing with a team like the Celtics if and when he does become a free agent?
Hard to say right now, but this weekend Love was asked about how desirable Boston might be as a destination for potential free agents.
“I’ve never really spent much time in Boston. I don’t know it too well,” he told the Globe. “But I think as far as playing there, we love competing against those guys. I think they have a great coach and they have a ton of youngsters that are up-and-comers.
“Boston is a great city. I’m sure free agents would love to go there, especially with [Brad] Stevens as a coach. He’s a guy that can win basketball games. He gets guys to play for him. They’ve been having good success there, even in his first year, and he has a lot of young players. The coach has a lot to do with it, but yeah, Boston is a great place.”
For Celtics fans who also happen to be Love fans, it sounds like the dream lives on.
