Facing elimination for the second time in four days, Celtics veteran leaders will look to use their championship-winning experience on Wednesday night to help their team force a Game 6 against the Knicks.

The Celtics trail the Knicks, 3-1, in their first round series heading into Game 5 at Madison Square Garden. Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Jason Terry have been on the brink of elimination many times over their careers and will be the driving forces to keep the C’s season alive.

"Guys like Paul and Kevin, they definitely feel it,” said Brandon Bass. “Jet, guys who’ve been in this position in the playoffs multiple times, they have the feeling that we could still win in New York and come back home.”

Said Terry, “When your leaders are KG, Pierce, and myself, we have too much pride. Now we have to go into a hostile environment and they are going to be trying to get it over with. (The Knicks) don’t want to come back (to Boston), but we do.”

See how Pierce, Garnett, and Terry have performed when facing elimination over the past five seasons.
