The Celtics moved up in the 2013 NBA Draft, trading the 16th pick and future second-rounders to the Dallas Mavericks, CSNNE.com confirmed, in exchange for the 13th pick, which they used to select Kelly Olynyk from Gonzaga. Get to know the newest member of the C's.

1. Last season Olynyk was a consensus All-American and West Coast Conference Player of the Year, averaging 17.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in 26.4 minutes per game.

2. The big man ranked third in the nation in field goal shooting last season with a 62.9 percentage.

3. Olynyk balanced athletics with his studies, earning a spot on the Academic All-America Team in 2013.

4. He attended South Kamloops Secondary School in British Columbia, Canada. As a teenager, he played quarterback for his school football team, the Titans.
