Just one day after the Bruins traded Tyler Seguin to the Dallas Stars, The Boston Herald reported that the B's ordered Seguin to live in a hotel and hired a guard to watch Seguin to sop his excessive partying this season.
The report certainly didn't make Seguin's mom happy.
Jackie Seguin angrily denied the report to the Toronto Star, saying that Tyler Seguin spent much of the Stanley Cup Final with her husband, Paul.
“I know that for a fact,” she said. “The whole team lived in the hotel. That’s crap. Oh, my God. That’s stupid stuff. That’s very unfair to say that. He’s a professional. That makes me very angry.”
Jackie Seguin added that Tyler often didn't go out to dinner because he wanted to stay in the team hotel in Boston. She also denied the reports of her son's wild nightlife.
“He was either at the hotel or he was with his dad,” she said.
Regardless of what is true, the 21-year-old's Bruins career ended after just three seasons, capped off by an underwhelming one goal, seven assist effort in 22 playoff games.
