*PHT scribe and FOH (Friend of Haggs) Mike Halford has Ben Bishop admitting that the US Olympic team roster will be on his mind this week. At least he’s being honest.

*A midseason report card video from yesterday’s edition of SportsNet Central focusing on Reilly Smith, the power play and Ryan Spooner.

*Nail Yakupov says it’s cold at the end of the bench in Edmonton. Somebody should tell him it’s even colder in the AHL.

*Here’s a link to the two-hour radio show that 98.5 the Sports Hub did with Bruins President Cam Neely that ran throughout Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It will also play again tomorrow night after the Bruins/Senators broadcast. Neely touches on everything throughout his career.

*A collection of Red Wings players talk about their childhood experiences playing hockey outdoors as the Winter Classic looms.

*Mark Divver has a nice piece on Joe Morrow as he develops his game in Providence, and continues a slow progression while other players around him get the call up to Boston.

*For something completely different: Chad Finn has his Boston media superlatives at the end of another year in Boston sports.
