Joonas Kemppainen has signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Boston Bruins. The deal has a cap figure of $700,000.
Kemppainen, 27, is a 6-foot-2, 213 pound forward who had 11 goals and 21 assists in the 2014-15 season for the Oulun Karpat in the Finnish Elite League.
Kemppainen also played in this year’s IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship and had nine points in eight games played for the team.
