As the Red Sox approach the playoffs, the Baseball Show panel starts discussing who the Red Sox MVP is this season.

Lou Merloni believes Uehara has been the most valuable player for the team, and that the Red Sox wouldn't be the same team without their closer.

"This team can't win anything in the postseason without Koji Uehara." said Merloni, "To me, I think he's the most valuable guy on this team because they still don't have answers for the seventh and eighth (innings).  If you lose Koji, you're done."

Taking nothing away from the season of Uehara, Red Sox Insider Sean McAdam believes that David Ortiz has been the team's best player.

"I still think I have to go with Ortiz." explained McAdam, "From the time he hit the ground running in the third week of April, he has been the one constant… He's been remarkably consistent."
