The Celtics and Nets agreed in principle to a trade that would send Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett to Brooklyn in exchange for four players and three draft picks. The only remaining question was 'would Garnett waive his no-trade clause'?
A league source confirmed on Friday that Garnett had indeed waived that clause and will head to NY along with the Truth and Jason Terry.
Boston gets Kris Humphries, Gerald Wallace, Keith Bogans (through sign-and-trade) and former Celtic Kris Joseph.The Celtics also receive future first round picks in the 2014, 2016 and 2018 NBA Drafts.
* The Red Sox extended their current winning streak to four games with a 7-5 win over the Blue Jays.
