Gotham: Roster stability should benefit Stevens

There were a lot of different faces who suited up for the Boston Celtics during the 2014-2015 season.

A total of 22 players pulled on the iconic green and white jerseys last season and it presented a challenge for coach Brad Stevens to find the right lineup on any given night.

Celtics president Rich Gotham hopes the roster that's in place now will make things a little easier for his coach.

"He's got, hopefully, stability," said Gotham. "The first two years of his tenure we were really churning the roster, for better or worse. I think what you saw toward the end of last season was a stable roster. The good news is we brought in a talented guy like Isaiah Thomas who really helped and Jay Crowder. But I think what helped more than anything was just that stability."
