Borges: Patriots' ‘persecution complex' made it worse

On Sports Sunday, Ron Borges reacted to the Wells Report and discussed what hopes the Patriots have as they wait for their punishment from Roger Goodell and the league.

"People need to grow up. They were [deflated]," said Borges. "My dad always used to say, if you're running in the park and you hear hoof beats, assume it's a horse not a zebra. I might be a zebra, if there was a bust-out at the zoo. It was a horse. The balls were deflated. How they got deflated? We can debate if McNally stuck his finger in there. But it clearly wasn't a clean deal.

"The've made it ten times worse in my opinion with their persecution complex. 'Everybody's out to beat us. Everybody…' Shut up. The last thing anybody in Park Avenue wants is mud on Peyton Manning, Tom Brady or J.J. Watt."
