UMass Lowell beats PC in triple OT thriller

Share

It's March Madness, alright.

Providence and UMass Lowell went to triple overtime before A.J. White scored to give the River Hawks a 2-1 victory over the Friars.

2-1!? Oh, that's right. We're talking about hockey, not college basketball.

Vincent Desharnais got the scoring going early for Providence before C.J. Smith tied it up later in the first period. Then both teams went through the rest of regulation without a score.
