A 20-year-old University of Maine sophomore died Sunday afternoon in a motorcycle incident involving 11 motorcycles near Donaldson, Penn.

Charles Kyeremeh, a member of the Black Bear football team, was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a group of 10 other riders. Only one of the riders was injured.

According to the Pottsville Republican, Kyeremeh was thrown from his bike, hit a sign for a creek, and was then thrown into the woods.

"Charles was an outstanding young man who had a bright future, both on and off the football field," said Coach Jack Cosgrove. "He was an important part of our team, and we are all devastated by this tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with Charles' family and friends during this difficult time."
