Two weeks ago, Russell Martin said he hated the Red Sox.
Now he feels sorry for them.
"To see what's happening, well, it's a little bit sad,'' said the Yankee catcher. "They just ran into adversity. They seemed a little bit tired, beaten down."
Two weeks ago, toward the regular season, Martine was singing a different tune: "I hate the Red Sox . . . anything to get the Red Sox out of the playoffs would be awesome for me."
