But he still wantsto be a part of what the Canucks are doing.
So Rome practiced on Sunday at the TD Garden. He spokeafterwards, saying that even though Horton is out for the rest of the serieswith a severe concussion, he still believes the league was wrong to suspendhim.
"You start the final and you're excited about havingthe chance of a lifetime," said Rome. "It's just an unfortunateincident where it's asplit-second decision. However you view the hit,whether you think it was dirty or not, there's no intent to hurt anybody.
If I could go back, I'd wish hedidn't get hurt but Idon't think it would change my decision on the play. I've got to step up and bephysical, that's part of my game. It's just unfortunate.
"They say it was late, but it's arbitrary," saidRome. "What is late? . . . That's a decision they made and I have torespect that, but I definitely don't agree with it."
Nobody in Boston feels bad for Rome having to miss the restof the series, but for those who do, they can relate to how Rome has handledthe situation.

"I couldn't put it into words for you," said Rome."You work hard all season and all playoffs, and for myself being in andout of the lineup getting chance to play every day, working your tail off to beout there at this time of the season. It's disappointing.
"You want to be a part of it," he said. "Justbecause I'm not playing I'm not going to mope about it and hide in a cave andnot speak to the media or be around my teammates. I've been here two years andfor me to be out with the team, it's a way for me to release some stress and bepart of it."
