Red Sox lineup: Andrew Benintendi out against lefty, Rick Porcello pitches

After nearly having another come from behind victory in the 9th inning last night, the Boston Red Sox will look notch one more win before leaving Seattle. The Red Sox (1-2) will taking on the Seattle Mariners in an afternoon game before they travel to Oakland to take on the Athletics.

Rick Porcello will get his first start of the season against the Mariners. Porcello, who went 17-7 last year despite a 4.28 ERA, will look to be the first Red Sox pitcher to log a quality start. So far, all three Red Sox starters have lasted five or fewer innings while allowing at least five earned runs. Porcello will look to reverse that trend.

Notably, Andrew Benintendi will be out of the lineup on Sunday, as he is 1-6 in his career against lefthanded pitcher Wade LeBlanc. In his place, J.D. Martinez will man left field while Sam Travis slots in as the team's DH.

Christian Vazquez and Eduardo Nunez will also return to the lineup, replacing Blake Swihart and Brock Holt at catcher and second base respectively.
