The NFL's slow-leak of scheduling information continued on Thursday when the preseason schedule was announced.

The Patriots opponents have been known since last week, but now we know who they'll play and when. Here's how things will look for Bill Belichick and his bunch this summer:

  • Thursday, August 11: New Orleans Saints 7:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, August 18: Chicago Bears 8:00 p.m.
  • Friday, August 26: at Carolina 7:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, September 1: at New York Giants 7:00 p.m.

By rule, NFL teams can't open training camp until 15 days before their first preseason game. Therefore, the Patriots to get going with a full squad as early as July 27.

On Thursday night at 8 p.m. the league will announce its regular-season schedule. Again, the Patriots know their opponents, but at this point they just don't know how the games will be scheduled.

  • Home: Buffalo, Miami, New York Jets, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Los Angeles, Seattle, Houston
  • Away: Buffalo, Miami, New York Jets, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Arizona, San Francisco, Denver
