Northeastern beats Boston University in wild 2020 Beanpot Final after controversial call

The 2020 Beanpot Final on Monday night was one for the ages.

For the third straight year, Northeastern University came out on top as they defeated Boston University 5-4 in double overtime. Jordan Harris was the hero for the Huskies as he was able to put the puck past BU goaltender Cam Tucker.

As disappointing of a loss as it was for the Terriers, they were fortunate to even be in the position to earn the victory in double OT.

Trevor Zegras scored with 1.2 seconds left in regulation to give BU another shot.

Unfortunately, a controversial call marred what otherwise was an instant classic. Shortly before Northeastern's game-winner, BU's Patrick Harper went to the box for tripping on this play:

Other than that, it was another incredible Beanpot and another memorable victory for the Huskies.
