Marshall: Bench doing a great job of stepping up

The Celtics have no choice but to win in different ways than they had before Rajon Rondo and Jared Sullinger were lost for the season.

They need other players to step up in their absence, and it looks like some of those players got the message.

Jason Terry is one of those players, and again had a double-digit scoring night for the C's. The reason? He's not thinking so much out there.

Gary Tanguay and Donny Marshall discussed.

"He's playing mindless basketball," Marshall said. "People are going to point to Rondo not being here, but I'm going to point to the fact that Doc Rivers has simplified things."

Terry was part of a bench that scored 52 points for the Celtics on Sunday.

Marshall doesn't think Rondo not being on the team is the reason the C's are playing well. Instead, he says it's on the newer players who didn't understand what it took to win on this team.
