Justin Williams describes Hurricanes' woes in most disgusting way possible

Most teams eat humble pie following blowout losses, but Justin Williams apparently believes the Carolina Hurricanes need something stronger.

The Hurricanes winger was asked after the Boston Bruins' 6-2 rout in Sunday's Game 2 how his team can fight back in the Eastern Conference final.

Please finish whatever you're eating before reading his answer.

"You spend all this time leading up, with everyone writing articles about how great we are," Williams told reporters. "You come out, and sometimes you gotta eat a poop sandwich. It doesn't taste good. You have to chew on it for a couple days, we'll have to do it for a couple days, and hopefully get the taste out next game."

We're assuming he's speaking figuratively, but we're not 100 percent sure.

Williams had good reason to have a bitter taste in his mouth. The Carolina captain took two penalties Sunday that both resulted in Bruins power play goals, his second infraction drawing a ruthless taunt from Brad Marchand as Williams skated to the penalty box.

But the 37-year-old Williams vows to be better Tuesday night when the series shifts to Carolina for Game 3 -- once the Hurricanes have finished their "meal," that is.

"We gotta chew on it," Williams added, "and Game 3 is ours."
