Eddie House and Brian Scalabrine unfiltered: Reflecting on the '08 reunion

March 13 was a memorable day at TD Garden as the Boston Celtics raised Kevin Garnett's No. 5 into the rafters. It also was an opportunity for the 2008 NBA championship team to reminisce on the good old days.

Among those in attendance from the '08 team were Garnett, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Kendrick Perkins, Brian Scalabrine, Eddie House, Glen "Big Baby" Davis, Leon Powe, and James Posey. The group was front and center to watch Garnett achieve Boston immortality, and they also had themselves a heck of a time catching up behind the scenes.

Scalabrine and House joined the latest episode of the Celtics Talk Podcast to reflect on the reunion with their former teammates.

"When we got together, it was so organic. It was like we never left," House said. "That's when you know, that's the sign of really -- when you really (expletive) with somebody, that's how it is. It ain't like, 'Damn, why ain't you call me, I ain't seen you.' It was just like, we're picking up right where we left off."

Scal recalled plenty of familiar trash talk going around, including some from House himself.

"It was slap, hug, E. House said, 'I see you still ain't upgrade that wardrobe.' And to me, that's how we were," Scalabrine said. "That team, you had to live your life like that. Remember, I had these shoes called Air Pinocchios, right? I have them in my closet, I haven't gotten rid of them. I go through, every time I see those shoes I be like, 'I can't wear the Air Pinocchios.' This is 12 years later.'"

Some former C's were put on blast for being, well... not exactly in playing shape. House asked Scal if he's in that group of ex-players who might need to start getting back into the gym.

"I think me and you, we are not at the point of no return," Scal told House. "But some of them dudes are at the point of no return. Me and you, we can bounce back."

Also in the new episode: Why is Scal so motivated to get into better shape following the reunion? And Ray Allen "the philosopher" is still alive and well!
