Awards keep pouring in for Maine Red Claws

WALTHAM, Mass. – After a record-setting regular season for the Maine Red Claws, the hardware for their hard work continues to come in.

The day after Tim Frazier was named the D-League’s Rookie of the Year and its MVP, he was named First Team All-NBA D-League along with being selected to the All-Rookie first team.

In addition, Frazier was named to the league’s Second Team all-defensive squad.

Frazier, now with the Portland Trail Blazers, wasn’t the only member of the Boston Celtics’ Development League affiliate to be recognized with postseason honors.

Chris Babb, who recently signed a multi-year deal with the Celtics, was named Second Team all-NBA D-league as well as being a member of the Third Team all-defensive team.

Frazier appeared in 41 games with Maine and averaged 16.1 points, 7.1 rebounds and 9.5 assists per game. He also tallied a league-best four triple-doubles this season.

Babb appeared in 45 games this season, averaging 15.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.

Both player were selected to play in the D-League all-star game this season.
