Aaron Cook (knee) to the disabled list

When Aaron Cook was spiked Saturday, the gash on his knee wasn't enough to take him out of the game. One day later, however, it was deemed enough to land him on the 15-day disabled list.

Aaron Cook suffered a bad cut on his knee during the second inning of yesterday's game against the Orioles when he collided with Chris Davis at home plate. He remained in the game but allowed seven runs in 2 23 innings in the Red Sox loss.

Today Cook was placed on the disabled list and lefty Andrew Miller was called up to take his place on the roster.
