It will be Tim Thomas again for the Boston Bruins Saturday afternoon against the Washington Capitals at TD Garden.

Thomas will playing in his eighth straight game for the Bs and is coming off a 19-save victory against the Sabres where the 37-year-old goaltender got better as the game was moving along.

Both Andrew Ference and Daniel Paille skated on Saturday morning and wont be in the lineup vs. Washington, but are inching closer to a return according to coach Claude Julien. It also appears that Mike Mottau will be getting his second straight start alongside Adam McQuaid while Greg Zanon will once again be a healthy scratch for Boston.

Here is the projected lineup for the Bruins:

Lucic-Krejci-Seguin
Marchand-Bergeron-Caron
Pouliot-Kelly-Rolston
Paille-Campbell-Thornton

Chara-Boychuk
Seidenberg-Corvo
Mottau-McQuaid

Thomas
Turco
