D'Qwell Jackson's ‘letter' to Tom Brady about Deflategate football is excellent

Deflategate took a toll on D'Qwell Jackson too, you know.

Jackson was the Indianapolis Colts linebacker who launched the whole saga when he intercepted New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's pass in the 2014 AFC Championship Game, only to discover that the football was curiously under-inflated.

That meant Jackson had to hand over his game ball, a precious memento he planned on keeping before the NFL launched a years-long investigation into Brady's football preferences.

So, on Wednesday, Jackson decided to ask the Patriots QB a favor. (Warning: The video contains a few F-bombs.)

This is pretty great stuff from Jackson, who said the Colts' equipment staff actually wrote his name and initials on the game ball before it was snatched away.

Sure, the retired linebacker's Deflategate joke -- "Boy, do I feel inflated" -- fell a little flat, but Patriots fans can commiserate with Jackson over this line:

"Roger Goodell probably has my f---ing football on his damn mantle."

Jackson also said the Patriots beat his Colts fair and square in that AFC title game (45-7, to be exact), so we wouldn't mind him getting his wish.
