David Pastrnak achieves rare Bruins feat with 5-assist game vs. Rangers

When your hockey line is nicknamed "The Perfection Line," there's an awful lot to live up to.

And yet Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron and David Pastrnak somehow find ways to not just live up to the moniker; they often exceed it.

Take Sunday's game against the Rangers, for instance. Marchand scored a pair of goals and added three assists, Bergeron had the fifth hat trick of his career, and Pastrnak had a five-assist game.

Marchand and Pastrnak became just the third set of Bruins teammates in the last 30 years to have five points in the same game, joining Joe Thornton and Glen Murray in 2001 and Dmitri Khristich and Jason Allison in 1998.

And Pastrnak not only took over the NHL points lead with his five-point effort, he also recorded just the 13th instance of a Bruins player recording at least five assists in a regular-season game.

Even more impressive? Pastrnak is just the third Bruins winger to accomplish that feat, joining Ken Hodge and Johnny Bucyk.

With their 7-4 win over the Rangers, the Bruins are now 8-1-2 this season. Their 18 points are tied for their best 11-game start in team history, equaling the 1929-30, 1941-42, and 1976-77 campaigns.
