Haggerty on Seguin: Perfect combination of offense and defense
Let's just start with what's new Jordan Paronto. The newest addition to the third line called up from Providence makes an immediate impact a sweet assist on Chris Kelly goal. Physically out -- and some of the secondary scoring -- taking the pressure off the top six yes but the Bruins are based on ten is getting secondary scorer. From the third and fourth line -- depth based team they coming waves as far as their lines going to need that production from those bottom two lines. And we decided Jordan -- and I think it's what has been missing out of this third line the entire first out. Of the season which the -- it's good on the boards that it wins battles in the offensive zone and sustained possession and pressure in the offensive zone. And a guy that plays well around the net a beautiful pass to meet personally. For that goal he also has size and strength that Chris or Daniel IA whoever you're talking about. And I'll give you ones that have that shows how important secondary scoring -- -- 26 games to Chris Kelly scored a goal the Bruins are 26 I don't know maybe if Chris Kelly scores they obviously when that's all you need to know. -- neat story for him -- he started the scoring and not only that he also. Yet but he shut out with a great save toward the end of the game at the perfect combination of weapons the defense if that's the reason wise plus minus is so good he's paying more attention in the offensive zone. But more importantly he's producing offensively and he's doing the job. The Bruins expected there and there's no coincidence. Obviously heats up panels on the power plays he's for a class there for the last thirteen games. Cranking over 23% success rate actually looks like agent legitimate power play when he's -- Shot from less left circle at -- stamp goes quick reaction when apparently you did not the great blue sheet after the power play goal in the first period. The Bruins are really good shape he now leads the most I've hardly points. All along to the Bruins get up three nothing and I'm sure a lot of people are thinking about. Haven't we been down this road before. And this recently in Washington they were gonna let that happen again now they weren't they really clamped down the defense you could see. They're paying attention to detail after the first period stifling in the neutral zone not allowing a lot of shot leads seven shots. The flyers in the second period they got a few more in the third. They had the power plays but they absolutely stressed shutting down the flyers after they had the lead and not relaxing. That's a Bruins team that start to -- your team -- finally at the midpoint of the season.
