Transcript

Welcome to the great American hockey like -- onside. He'll act Nolan involvement great American. Citizens. -- valid points here Joseph the Bruins making a move this week Chris sport and that experiment on the third line and on the power play no longer they -- him. Dad's making I think a lot of people happy out there that I think unfairly came down on the kid that was. Working hard to try to cover himself out a niche in the NHL. And oh by the way doing it the most difficult situation could possibly imagine in Boston where his father is a hall of Famer and a legend -- He grew up and everybody worship -- the new pressure is going to be high. He came anywhere tired I think he had his best performance of any of the NHL stints he's had whether it was Washington Pittsburgh here. But at the end of the day I just don't think he's good enough to be a regular third line forward on a team like the Boston Bruins -- trying to win the Stanley Cup. He's an extra forward I think on a team like this or probably a top six guy top nine guy. On a lesser team on the Jack yeah someone like that exactly one that doesn't have Stanley Cup aspirations now. They're gonna pull the plug now and thankfully so because. They need to finance for Chris Kelly and rich apparently to this just wasn't a war thing. Chris Kelly is still terrible. Has been all season which heavily is I think the minus nine. This year which is worst on the team and his god awful he's not scoring goals to make up for the lack -- deep. So they need to find somebody to plug in there much or did you end up with the answer but he. It's an art one that is you know my next question. What are itself there won't what are some of the names that they -- target I know I know you have a couple new ones you that are kind of grotto and up the rumor mill that that may be good additions to the -- Yeah Jarome Iginla is obviously one of the top the list he continues to be. The perfect fit and I've heard that within the next week or two. He in the Calgary Flames are going to be some kind of determination. As to whether he can re signed with them whether it's in the books market. Don't think it's any chance he doesn't resign. That he doesn't want to trade market if I get some value returns. To be perfect as far as size and strength. -- the ability with the energized by Stanley Cup run and maybe get for a couple months one of the best players in the planet. Motivated for the cup. And I think you have a little bit that mark directly affect -- Boston Bruins while so. He's perfect he's the one you shoot for but there -- lesser names out there. -- close -- the Bruins have scouted heavily in San Jose. -- he's a guy at 6263. Well over 200 pounds has struggled this year doesn't have a goal and then -- Starks definitely is a guy that last year scored those twenty goals -- you can count on. For twenty goals -- season and gives you that powerful were tied game against outlined the size and strength that they need around the net sustain possessions. I've read tomorrow's another one that kind of like flow is a little long in the tooth now. Not much tread left in the -- but a big body guy capable of -- his size strength in offensive ability. My favorite one with -- well my family got the guy yet we went over to Jose about. They got that you have been searching I am all for fine Carl Soderbergh. Might be coming to -- a garden near you. The Swedish mystery man we love girls are out and I really don't think this guy exists I still don't believe you exist even though there are rumors that he might be coming to Boston watch this is -- -- he is he's. The abominable snowman from the reindeer are. I would that would be out with the -- problem. No I look I hit from what I'm told from the Bruins -- they have talked to his camp to talk to his agent JP Barry they talked to his team in Sweden. And there is a pretty good chance that he might come. To the NHL and to Boston after the Swedish elite league playoffs are over they start right now so they'll be over well before the playoffs start. For the NHL and interestingly enough. He would be a free agent next year at age 27 in the NHL its contract would be over with the Bruins they've been burning the last couple years in the entry level deal. So he would come over with the motivation of kicking butt for a couple months -- and then getting to free agency in breaking instant know. And this year he's been a monster -- goals sixty points. Has been one of the best players in the Swedish elite league. And really would give them at six foot 3210220. Pounds a big body in an offensively capable body. Now is he gonna be -- in the NHL probably not but I think you've you've got to the alternatives they have on the third line right. Yeah up and -- -- -- -- Spooner Florida all those guys you'd be better knock them knock that off. Sitting in schools right now we're not enough that that's not so we're not to be transported. To the great American hockey show library for the IQ weren't bad right you know I'm disappointed the ball I used to work ethic. As we could tell with some creative stuff and these guys we dig a little bit we didn't in the -- and it finally come up with something good so. On the American aren't always good hockey word of the week. -- -- -- When you take the puck and his stick to go. Dragon close defeat to go around a guy I'm not very good. I have yet toe drag guy and it's not. How confident and a huge on and we like have a little fun with the Bruins player that topic this week. Yes. Because he got -- awards were a week ago. What was the best movie that you saw on the last year now on some of the Bruins are not will become -- -- I remember David Krejci last year just crapping all over the artist. They needed -- of the movie I was -- the whole time that would best picture of the air sort look -- for predictions we just look at for tastes. -- the Bruins not at their trip to the movies. -- Just to watch a lot of. Until you come. I saw movies fiscal -- -- an -- actually. -- -- -- -- And I try to tax subsidy going our young guys and I haven't you know there was ten guys on the buddies and there's a lot of time -- team. Yeah I think it's a reliance in the summer movies and last two days without. -- good I think watching that -- I watched it before I got traded here and then I was going to win at all all the places. Charles found. I watch a lot of movies and I'm not too tough some guys are hard critics but. About a million. Battleship. And to watch -- -- and we'll kind of watch. I thought as good acting but yeah because. Pretty -- -- there was it was pretty. Sadly he has thrown for realists here. Makes you wonder what's it. Makes you wonder -- I've wanted to come to. You don't want I guess I had a couple like that I like you bond but -- the campaign. Will Ferrell. Is where you pass figured. There was -- play well I -- -- Again maybe. It at. -- program there Twitter to sit sit sit sit sit. -- watch the hockey seventy -- On him. On the third and -- The game but really had not been at all here on -- everything holds on on our first that's inaccurate that's not fair. -- the last nine means he has two assists is a plus seven and I think he's been much better I will give you the first twelve games of the season he was not good he was a minus player. I really feel like. The contract thing has been bothering him uncertain it's going to be a free agent or not after the year's over he's been here seven years. His wife and his two kids it's go to school his wife loves it. I think this is real life stuff. In the hockey right now he did not get taken care of and I don't think he will during the season with a contract. -- gonna go into the offseason in the unknown I think that might have played with his mind a little bit in the first month month and a half of the season. But I think he's kind of locked into a better place now he aside there's been against -- Best way to get yourself that contracts to play it well yeah and he's born probably going to be out of anybody really embraced. What Boston at all about a wanted a bus going in his. Chronicle and like I guess I'm coming from all American playmaker once and nobody realignment -- -- -- -- division title puzzle. I like the realignment. Because it's gonna shake things up a little bit it's also gonna create the divisional playoffs again. So we're gonna have the old Adams division style playoff history yeah Asomugha and the Bruins in the leaves and now the wings are getting it. Division which I think is going to be really interesting. To put them -- it. Not a lot of travel travels not gonna kill them I think it helps out some of the other teams like with a bag. They're getting smoked by the travel around the NHL. And the one other thing I really like about on this is that a couple years from now two or three years from now they're gonna revisited and decide if it's working and if it's not. They're gonna do something else as far as the Bruins go. They're in the same division they are now at the same teams just at Detroit at Tampa. At Florida. Obviously Detroit is a very good team and I have four original six teams in division and they could all be playing each other in like that round Robin playoff style thing -- I think that's pretty cool. -- like to see the Rangers somehow involved -- this but I I again to send -- to never satisfied never says. They don't they also -- the call that the central division on and why isn't wise Boston Montreal in the central division that's the stupidest thing ever answered you're. It's that sense it's -- -- like in anchorman Ron Burgundy style rumble and -- but no touching that base and average your track. -- very next week comes from the slot off match for well for now is that subject. -- -- -- -- This is a good question I think if a guy gets moved from the roster are. -- say Jarome Iginla trade or maybe somehow the Bruins throw themselves into Corey Perry sweepstakes. And try to get a real big name and a real big fish. Yet to give up a roster player. I think respect these guys and they're gonna try to penalize. Is he scored twenty goals in the past could be there again you get value around the league because -- can play you know situations. And -- game. But like I said before the minus nine easily get three goals this year. And I think he's underperforming for the money that you're paying him some of those middle class guys that Peter surely -- like Chris Kelly like rich Beverley if they're not playing up to maximum potential they're not worth the money. And yeah -- that -- I am wrong that's just get a 500 foot tape measure are out and you admired his MOR circus. Man team are 207 -- Would you rather build. Around him at. War and yeah. So -- shoot a lot of them option. Thought I just hope I put out of your element and -- -- to be team tough that sort of like opposite the all hell broke you Vasher are out. I gonna go or is the greatest hockey player of all time. A one a couple of cups in at it depends cannot -- ironically put like -- that will never distracted or his body if so -- you gotta go their way which it put it this way with today's medicine. I would start with -- -- because he's not gonna have his career shortly he did if we have the doctors have today -- the acts of the 1970s. It -- knees would get that done. -- Alex saw I saw. And to good things than I know you're gonna answer. We get a dog named Greg is obviously I was pretty much sense that he used the great ones. More reason. I'm the dog and the play with a couple wrap up an American -- -- and I'm into a -- is a verbal abuse from the up Boston and its not a -- -- -- -- him to Edmonton are not similar to Edmonton actually not only that element you're Canadian tax you know you don't like the cold you were doctor suspected to point out this. And atlas or you just -- you -- shivering something. That -- attack him.
