We take -- DH backups. If David Ortiz can't walk. Ryan -- away. Hey Daniel -- And you have people. Tony over you you're not a -- I know -- choice seeing none of the above does that you're the duck boats that is probably. Yeah neither one of those is what I would technically what is up Ortiz tried to me it's worrisome and started this thing is persisting going on and on. But at the bigger part of the story to me still is the contract. -- this back in the fall would you give him two years of war well I think adults so. This is almost -- some -- coming back to bite them in the -- a little bit. Here's -- thing of you're right about the contract it is what it is but. I don't think he's dogging it I don't think he's faking it Felger may be right about the Briton medicinal element of it who knows but the bottom line is. And I got nobody else no Jerry I think the injury is real now the issue was real I don't think this is it up -- that. He's not fight his way to -- anything of the like the end well I was I -- not joking about the replacements it would I would do what I -- -- I would DH Jonny Gomes -- Jackie Bradley in left field that's what I would do. And and W just you plug a guy -- right away that and excited this thing right eyebrow he plays every day yes yes absolutely now I don't know visited. Won't get to that point maybe he'll likely be out there. But recess today isn't think he could play tomorrow if opening day we're tomorrow well we're only a month -- -- Explicitly is -- a pain threshold issue or it is at all how could not be human happened July 16 but wasn't. Ward Boldin was more doors and did it mean you're back you're backed -- grab ass in the studio it's like. You tell me what what's going on with it yeah and you know fortunately I. I had a unique build. Got a body heals very quickly my did you know that my birthday on January that helped him there yeah there is always GH testing yeah. You're allowed to happen Abiola. Exactly well I think the part that worries me is that. I think -- doubt because or another part that worries me because they fear that a little rupture if he pushes too hard. Or I don't know if it's necessarily -- tolerance thing I think is. If it's blocking don't know that's -- -- -- that it is very vulnerable and very young brittle and if your done these companies. -- happens -- buckle for twelve today he's done very well throughout the spring hasn't given up an earned run in seven and a third. What do you think the difference is spent and I realize it's only spring spring training but with the way it's been it will it will take anything people few system managers having. And effectiveness that. Yeah maybe some Garrett I don't put a lot of stock in the results in spring -- -- take whatever is happening here -- -- W was in the bullpen they had a stopwatch on them. And that they were telling -- it's taken too long between pitches guys don't. I'd like to hear that's that's them kick them in the -- a little bit and say and I. You can't spend all day on the -- throw the first -- and dragging this thing I'll be ready to go. Out of that speaks to me to the mentality. That Farrell is trying to instill but to be ready goal attacked people -- your fastball the results spring training I put no stock. Zero but I look at your shorter answer Gary wise buckles look good wise Lester looked good wiser than Lackey looked good for healthy. They're good they're talented guy detailed the guys who have underperformed grossly and been unhealthy but partly by their own doing and let them up a walk out to these guys to very good care of themselves the last couple years but if they're taking care of themselves. And they're healthy especially Buchholz. Got nasty stuff he always happen if he's healthy he's gonna perform well. You know I do think -- -- is an area where Farrell will have an impact is on board. Because he struck out the site today and here's a guy who couldn't hit the back stop by sheer so I do think -- positive. Look I think in terms of mentality he can help all three of those guys because they think and and in some way me. All of them need a little bit of emotional support if that's what you can get -- but again but you a lot of it buddy rice needs a decent amount and it and that's. We've solved the doesn't quite as much as the other guys but Lester isn't quite that dominating. Personality in spite of pumping guy that everybody wants. Tony how hard was part throwing today I -- in 94 is comical from the BB WA the tweets that was 94 that was 95 that was 96 it was 97 the ultimate up and eventually he's going to be. Having to a 124 miles an hour through that -- Just keep tack on to prevent -- except -- can gauge of Mike is that he was around 95 consistently. Which is a pretty good sign but when he's really right in some ways it's still a few ticks higher than that well. And where you both last year so maybe there's some progress being made there but again it's what you don't in spring training. It's -- -- and putting yankees and in the second did -- look what happens.
