Let me ask you guys -- -- -- with Wes Welker. I feel like this. I think if Wes Welker comes back he's coming back at home town discount and looking out west and what he's been able to do throughout his career. I think doubt would be a bad decision on his part because. He's in a position right now where this is probably his last contract. So you got to try to make as much money as you can in free agency. Clearly they didn't franchise tag so you got the opportunity right now to make as much money as you can. And I think that should be the thing that he looks at and in the might be some teams -- there. That would be willing to pay him and I think it would be some teams open that would be you know competitive teams that he would have a chance and opportunity to win and that's probably -- That. New England's -- won't be the highest out there. Oh I think that -- -- absolutely true but I also look at it this way with Wes Welker has been here five years they have won a Super Bowl. End if he wants to me -- a central figure and an offense and be a big part of it have a chance to win. What is best place might well. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Well there's a guy making -- quality of career quality of life decision over just take in the box so it if he's going to be just gonna do that. I think at this stage I'm leaning more towards yes than no and I've gone back and forth on this from the last week I started out this offseason saying he's gone. And then Brady redid his deal. And I problem now they have the money to keep on and then last night this morning Jason Kohl -- what he wrote I thought well maybe until we always again and the GO RD broke wouldn't you -- And -- that a deals basically imminent. So we're way out all the bull crap. And I start to really read it and say hell -- when I read it on my own. Brady rejoin his deal to me opens the door for Welker to stay at and I don't care what anybody thing and I have to believe that. Brady did it would some sort of wink wink nod nod to secure west's. And if -- Welker I can get close to the same money. And stay with Tom Brady and that's what I -- first of all you understand. They know what's happening like I mean this thing was probably done here premium that team Welker Brady of course they'll know. Real sharp elbow -- what we know so. Mean we're we're just sitting here flailing around trying to read the wins and which way it's gonna go but. It's not the Patriots are sitting there today saying -- what to -- -- west to recite them do we not. They've known me probably for months. Yes and I I would generally agree and even Tom Brady they had an idea for months and when Brady and crafted a negotiating on the plane they talked about all this stuff. They talked about all that so. It's done. You -- Welker is gone. What they've got a deal in place for him to -- we don't know obviously. But I don't think it's that they're going back and forth and things should we do it should not do well -- so I don't think podium but it was decided a long time ago I I think they have made the decision whether or not they wanna bring them tackle people I think. What they're probably doing right now is figuring. Okay how much do we pay pay him and I think that's the biggest thing NL in west is looking at the numbers already the number. The numbers already the number and west is already said yes or no ad. He knows whether he's gonna be on the market next Wednesday and I think now they all know a 100% sure he knows what that might be an offer out there. And I look at it like this I think that it's got to come down to him and like I said the only way he comes back if he takes less than what he could get on the open market. And you don't feel that you're talking seventh seven and a half million that's probably -- -- -- for everyone on the Patriots. And I I think that's historically been true for everyone on the Patriots is a few exceptions. You know Brady did set the market his last contract. Vince Wilfork set a market Logan Mankins that a market. But I those guys you got to search long and hard to find the guys that signed here and got the most pitches they're few and far between I really think the Patriots -- cycling back into our era. What are they really wanted any of those -- that does not happening to a few situations get away from him. To they had to pay Mankins and Wilfork what they did. But I think it's gonna be to promote everybody leaves -- and get the most money here I don't think. Look I know they're not the same kind of player OK but don't think Deion Branch and some level. It's instructive to welcome Mike you mean Deion Branch 2005 yes that's going back then another job a guy who's basically Tom Brady's favorite target. Who'll 101. Is money and went to Seattle and got. With the same player there then what's -- well okay well but it at this juncture does what's care shouldn't care for for this this is -- last chance to make money. His end game is. The dollar sign on a contract not what's gonna -- about stats of the best chance to win. Okay but what he's gonna come he's gonna make enough money in this deal whether it's here or somewhere else. To be fine for the rest of -- -- Matt Lawton let alone it's Kitna but you know that -- if if you're Wes Welker and say they offer you say seven to seven and a half million okay. And you're able to get may be 99 and a half million LP on the open market. Did you say okay I I. I come back to New England or do you say I'm a guy that's an undrafted free agent I pretty much had to bust my blood Garrity around I never got that big payday I've reduced. At the highest level I've played in Super -- I've been productive throughout my career this is my last chance to make that type of money. And do you say -- take two million less just because I might have a better chance of winning there's no guarantee that the got to win -- do you say. You know what I got to do what's best for me and figure out what team would be willing to pay me that that has a chance to.
