How is Mike Napoli looked do you -- just on the eyeball test of what you've seen so far obviously injury concerns. Pretty big with him what your confidence level that. He'll be strong to start the earned it with the. -- about test is a show me anything because it's just a guy walking around playing catch I do have great concerns form though because. He's never been a 500 at that guy he's always been a guy that's gonna get his 400 and somewhat at bats. He's gonna hit the ball and he's a catcher who's trying to play first base with a bad hip well guess what they talked. Big time 34 years ago about the sense of importance at first base Francona talked about it he says it's in -- quick thinking to think the defense at first base is important. Now let's stick and a guy they were virtually no experience. I think it's a big concern coming in this season putting this guy at first base with a bad -- -- Johnny Gomes I know she thought is that he's a clubhouse guy that chemistry guy and a lot of other reporters father wanted to talk to him today about that being chemistry got guy and his response was a heck I wanna play a 162 games so which is that what is he going to be. He's got to be more than a clubhouse guy because he's Nike cap predict Chappell was the great clubhouse guy. He's the one of bridge the gap between the manager's office and players. -- was a wonderful got to give quotes of the reporters sign autographs and all that OK I'm granny that -- can be a great deal of what that was a -- couple -- years back. But he's going to be an everyday outfielder he's got to put it he he's kid -- hitting twenty home runs he's done it before. They need to get 1520 home runs -- him 607080. RBIs. Todd being a good club bust guys -- he's got to put up numbers -- is capable putting up those numbers I think he could be a big surprise in. A very popular player of the. -- well what I like some of these signings and Napoli qualifies Cody Ross qualifies. He qualifies at Fenway -- you know what's wrong it just bringing in these right handers who can pound the ball to left field I had I think. You know all this John Henry told me on the radio sometimes Red Sox got a little too left handed he got away from that a little bit in recent years are moving -- to Ryan -- and only have some thoughts on him -- I I was I was so saddened today and just in terms of symbolism is a guy it's gotten a lot season because laid an injury. The symbolism was. Fifty reporters talking to him today and him being bombed out to his teammates are about to go out and play baseball and guess what. Ten stalls down Joel Hanrahan shows that everybody runs out in this kid and its sense because -- and -- -- the talking he's the closer. And it just seemed kind of sets me that this is what's happening him. He made some terrific plays the minor leagues he's up. Really study hard charging kid. And Barrett's likes -- -- love him if he -- got healthy and play on this not sure when it's gonna happen and it's a shame.
