-- spirit WEEI dot com what do you make of this. Startling because you know would've been one thing in what we consider to be. The era of lack of oversight and you know when drugs were kind of running free in the game in the ninety's and into the and into the early two thousands but. 2008 you know there had this was there as a second collective bargaining agreement penalties yet. Legit for the use of anything that would be related to -- performance enhancing substances so. The idea that sort of -- candid conversation and again. I guess that there has been some question raised about whether or not it was treated it was being -- seriously or whether or not it was you know conversational joke or something. Has been raised but if it was being very seriously it's just absolutely startling. That it would be presented by a team official. The parlor game is now who exactly was that team official the New York Times. Had a blog post shoulder tonight in which it said that Major League Baseball was made aware of that offered Curt Schilling by a -- of the Red Sox Major League Baseball investigated it. And that to team employees were subsequently fired because of it. Now. Not not to mention names but there was a -- high profile security guards one of whom has a recognizable name who acquired from the Red Sox after the 08 seasons a lot of people. Drew that line. Apparently no that's not bad because Curt Schilling has subsequently tonight. In a conversation Peter Abraham specified it was a member of the medical staff. And those people who acquired. We're not members of the medical staff and he also allowed to stay even though as a member of the medical staff it wasn't. Thomas -- the doctor Paulus are the head trainer or Dave page what's right conditioning coach. So we're narrowing it down now other -- what does that leave. That doesn't leave a whole lot of thought up a lot of people. I mean I will say this for Schilling had a well known in strained relationship with Mike -- old who at that time back in 2008. Was the assistant trainer with the Red Sox. There they had -- they were kind of at the heart of the dispute of whether or not Schilling should have surgery on his son on his shoulder not. After that you never call you know after he signed resigned after 2007. Never pitched in 2000 -- Ended up having the surgery ended up never pitching again but there was a back and forth about whether or not he should be having surgery or rehab. Okay you said it was startling to -- to me it's not startling I mean I think we're finding the sport all these sports recessed pools. And it refine the Red Sox were as bad as anyone between the guys that landed on the list and all three -- -- different -- -- talking about who were fired maybe they're not the guys Curt Schilling was referring to. But those guys were fired under steroid suspicions that they were too many people that worked for the team and we're heavily involved with the team and now you have this the team doctor. Up apparently allegedly if if this is who who course talking about a member of the medical staff I should say. Suggesting -- -- of me maybe it was say that this you know all these things ran pretty strong through the Red Sox clubhouse so. Look I think that we've reached the point where we have to assume it. It then the Red Sox there was no team that was immune from trends where that bit where did trends that existed or trends that still exist. In the game I think he'll be. And I used to assume that but at the same time the idea that a member of the team medical staff you know it's it's been the trainers who ostensibly. We're supposed to be at the heart of kind of pushing Major League Baseball towards greater regulation. Of steroids and performance enhancing substances so the idea that someone would it kind of introduce that concept. In the confines of you know the professional setting. I mean they should lose their licenses immediately if they if they were a member of the medical or training staff I do think Curt Schilling has any sort of motivation to be doing this. Well I do think that you know -- if you look at an angle here in the dorm saying. Eight. So there can be one I don't wanna say there is one because I haven't talked to -- subject but certainly. This idea has to be percolating in his mind or in the mind of anyone. Who says that they were they were clean during their playing careers and who felt like they were lumped in with the rest of the steroid guys hall of fame voting. To say well you know what I wasn't part of that era and let me demonstrate. Here's the --
