While the pain of Sunday's crash landing is still quite fresh in fans minds. It's time to -- to the offseason and that's what we do here and from the heart in the first order of business is looking to set up the draft. Patriots only have five -- in April 20 ninth overall in the first round is now solidified with their season ending they have -- second that's their -- third that their -- And then to a seventh including one in the -- trade but there's a big hole in the middle of the draft fourth fifth and sixth round. We know Bill Belichick doesn't like holes in the draft to look for some trade either on draft day or prior to them to fill up the draft but. Only five picks to restock the roster this for an. While looking at the draft the question becomes where should Bill Belichick target. Become simple defensive side of the ball yet again they added high -- Jones first round last year. Back and need some upgrading now cornerback depending on -- keep the league's future they still need a big young developmental cornerback. Still need more help in the pass rush even though apparently Jones should have a great sophomore season. He needs some help on the other end Rob Ninkovich need some help so don't be surprised if they go early the past roster yet again. Offensive side of the ball you have to look at the offensive line with Sebastian Vollmer futures -- out. But more importantly a young developmental receivers a deep threat somebody on the outside we've -- when you're young receivers develop quickly in the NFL these days. Patriots need one. And if it's not about the draft in the spring it's about free agency the Patriots have eighteen scheduled unrestricted free agent. Three starters for other guys were key contributors when you're talking about the starters. It starts -- Wes Welker what his future will be the franchise yet again eleven million dollars and be attacked -- here are the Patriots willing to invest that much. -- team to leave -- they looking to pay him top corner money and the clear as a guy who can cover man to man that we value for you to leave on the open market. And right tackle Sebastian Vollmer great season -- his back injuries can you afford to invest in him long term. Danny wood -- Patrick -- all free agents while the Patriots will have some opportunities with their cap space to add bodies.
