Mike Felger and Chris Price discuss a talented group of rookie quarterbacks, many of which the Pats have faced
Rookie quarterback so far against the Patriots both fit for. -- well -- obviously turned the ball a lost that game Russell Wilson. Did just what he needed to do you look at the completion percentage of the pats did well there of course they always give up yards. I'll -- face their third rookie quarterback coming up and Bryant had a hell on Sunday in Miami Chris price who joins us for this talk about this class you know there was compared to the 83. Marino. -- Jim Kelly. Of course because god Tony -- short end of the stick out that what Todd black woods also went and I've already forgotten the sixth guy. Bob got a -- the Jets also blew that one of coarse salt is -- the best quarterback lessons that 83 it's tough to. To put him up against the 83 because these three got three hall of famers but I think this group is real topic I think there's no question RG three is a franchise quarterback who should be in the league parts of the crazy happening for the next. Fifteen or so years same thing with a lot. Thumb really for me the wildcard is Wilson because he's shown. And ability to do some things that you knew you you would necessarily associate with a guy who -- at that spot. I think he has the opportunity to be special but again I think he's the wild card this -- ten holes also fascinating guy because. He really in in -- to a lesser extent RG three their transition has been made easier by the fact that there -- essentially running in a lot of ways the same offense that they reigning power. So the transition for those guys that. Never got -- -- as well include little I think throws a wobbly ball but. How -- -- situation you know it is exactly hide how do you know how good he could possibly be a walk I just think is special for a lot of reasons I think he's. Jerseys while not single handedly but he's made the players around him better like an expansion team there. And I think he has you know that's just sort of let defining characteristic do you think the players around you better go to guys like Sam Bradford and I still. You know he looks like a good quarterback he's got all the intangibles but. Does he make that team better he doesn't. Know exactly you're you're you're looking at two guys again all the all point to the top few guys in the draft RG three luck. Who are the kind of quarterbacks and they'll talk about the facetious inches is it is never going to be -- kind of it was going to be able lift up his team. And carry them deep into December and January and you'll -- kaposi's when you look at these guys you look at these young quarterbacks. Particularly Griffin and -- in you conceive him. Taking their team to the next level already you don't turning around bad teams so Guinness got a report on ten now I think you know the fascinating guy because ten Hillis not. Wilson in that Wilson was the kind of quarterback who loses if it's our job. He runs a lot of bootlegs and they've been able to pocket -- way -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- not to much like that you know the big strong got more pocket passer date they've had trouble. Really jump starting -- -- office they've had trouble scoring points I don't think they're going to be -- lament the Patriots touchdown for touchdown but I think it's gonna be really intriguing matchup but again I think you know we mention this and that the segment or. I think ten in those going to be up a good NFL quarterback I don't think he's going to be great but I think he's going to be good I think he's gonna have. A pretty good at poker. -- was and how important is running is running now sort of one of the things you you got to having your toolbox of mean what is considered a pocket passer but he's actually a tremendous athlete and he can run -- bought -- -- guys like. Cam -- but. Aaron Rodgers can get out of the pocket and use his legs. -- -- -- -- as one of these guys and how important is that skill set now. I think the team is evolving to a point where it's becoming more more important. For young quarterback to be able to him to move in in in. Don't throw on the run and again like we -- before with bootlegs and stuff -- I think it's becoming more more -- and I don't think it's absolutely integral. Because you're seeing quarterbacks again like you know we're not necessarily those guys but it think it certainly helped in this -- the front office. All right we'll see at the pages can contain Ryan Tenet health coming up this week.
