Math and I bring you're -- Patriots take to the air by all means please this is written by -- in our pre show email exchange. But he was well what I want to a model holds it to what you said so this is on the record now. You can't claim a misquote you possesses exactly what you wrote -- yet no notes rate him it's gonna make sure you represented accurately on the air a pace to do emails you tell me about missing a border anything that I don't think I am he probably edited -- reported on there. -- broke -- Matt Allen -- wrote quote the Patriots sock and this is what -- this has been a lackluster pre season to say the least. Is that a good thing I mean we were all talking about how the Patriots were voted they have looked anything but. There have been flashes of individual talent but the -- still looks out of sync on many levels. I know they haven't had the offensive line together yet but still. I'm starting to temper my enthusiasm a little because they still have some issues. Mike made the point yesterday that they beat a bunch of crap teams on the way to the Super Bowl a divot repair crap teams are we forgetting that. How good they really. Friday night pumped the breaks for me. -- -- yes Canada articulate. Yes I I actually think that was very well crafted now that I look at it. The the pre season game at the culture gonna get it we all know that it's the culture and again. And I'm not saying we should make any definitive judgments I'm just saying that. A few weeks ago older people thrown sixteen no well they're just felt as -- you know for a -- with the Patriots. That looked like something that could be a sixteen no team what was on Friday night. Man handled by Tampa Bay's defensive front in the acting in the early part of that game in. On the side of the ball that we're just as many things to worry about early on. The first drive of the game Josh Freeman to come right down the field they couldn't cover Vincent Jackson. End that didn't look more like you were the team the Patriots did on Friday night that they did a passing team. Now does that mean I I think Tom Brady thoughts. Well of course now welcome wasn't in the game bowl -- play waters is that you are etc. Sutter etc. Their defense do you think the defense with great now. It didn't look all think is enough to make you sort of take pause and think the minute. And really play or beat. In the second half the last season they were five and three lest we forget -- of that game in New York. At the big win what point in the year and we all thought well that's the start become a part of that. And then. They didn't really huge when against the Jets they built the game Andre Carter went bananas and Saturday Anderson -- -- with the and then after that Kansas City. The Eagles in Washington and Denver Miami Buffalo. Beat anybody in my sock sock sock sock and thought I remember that -- suspect him I remember you saying that but but really think they did it to be one. Bag of potatoes after the next really wants that don't after the next. Denver in the first round. After a bye in the blew their doors off. And you could argue that shuttle lost the game to the Ravens won it. The loss to the Giants so we really look at it a legitimate teams they played. Pittsburgh lost Giants lost to Baltimore to one Giants lost again. Want to hurry. So I just think I didn't -- a little more there in terms of some of their issues that were really. Taking into account they still young guys on defense we still don't know that and -- over -- Jones looked pretty good and he had flashes again and -- the other an agreement pretty good. I think they've improved. But. Houston to me looks loaded. I think Houston is loaded they can keep the quarterback healthy I look at them and -- not -- be that team should be most concerned about their defense is good about rules thing. Running back. Who can also catch the ball and run the -- of the best running deck in the week the quarterback is sufficient it looks like they're reasonably well coached and they lost Mario Williams. But it wasn't. There is blooming -- are you pumping the breaks at all on the Patriots given the way they've looked in the pre season which has not been that great. Not I'm looking at their offensive line I have I have concerns there. But when I look at the weapons that I think they can get -- with some of these weapons and when I look at the schedule we talk about schedule this schedule is really not that difficult they'll face Houston. And San Francisco -- little too late gotta be late December here and wearing them so cold weather we won't know how they got hobbled team to play here. So when you stop looking at this schedule nice favorable schedule for them. I think even if their offensive line and I have had some issues. You know what you'll say we're gonna have to get the ball out -- we're gonna get situations where we can strip the ball get the ball to him about weapons. Welker Hernandez gold that's what makes those guys so valuable because you can get the ball out early Angel and the old guys picked up a lot of the yardage running after the catch so. You know I'm concerned that this offensive line yes I am concerned but I think looking at the schedule. Looking at this team understand what the Patriots so Bill Belichick I still see them. At minimum winning twelve games.
